7-day Morocco itinerary and tour packages

Looking for a Morocco tour package of 7 days? Ours is private, with an English-speaking driver: it starts in Fes, takes in the imperial cities, Chefchaouen, Marrakech and the desert, and brings you back to Fes. If you have a day or two more, three other tours follow the same idea: Marrakech to Fes, from Casablanca, and Tangier to Marrakech. Below we compare them and explain what a one-week tour of Morocco costs.

Our 7-day Morocco tour

7 days from Fes: Meknes and Volubilis, a night in Chefchaouen, Rabat, Casablanca and the Hassan II Mosque, two nights in Marrakech with a guided tour, Ait Ben Haddou, the Ouarzazate film studios, the Todra Gorge and a night in the Merzouga desert. It takes in the Atlantic coast at Rabat and Casablanca, and starts and ends in Fes.

If you have a day or two more

If your week stretches to eight or nine days, these three tours follow the same idea:

  • 8 days from Marrakech to Fes: a guided day in Marrakech, the High Atlas, Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades, two nights in the desert at Tassili Luxury Desert Camp with a day by 4x4, and Fes with a local guide.
  • 8 days from Casablanca to Marrakech: the Hassan II Mosque, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Meknes, Fes with a guide and a night in the desert, with a night in Casablanca when you arrive and another in Marrakech before your airport transfer.
  • 9 days from Tangier to Marrakech: Tetouan and Chefchaouen, Volubilis and Meknes, a day in Fes with a local guide, two nights in the desert with a day by 4x4, the Todra, the Dades and the road of the kasbahs to Marrakech, where you get a day before your airport transfer. A good fit if you arrive by ferry or land in Tangier.

What you can see in one week in Morocco

Seven days isn’t enough for the whole of Morocco, so don’t try. What works is picking one combination:

  • The imperial cities and the coast: Meknes, Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakech, with the Atlas and a night in the desert at the end. That’s our 7-day tour from Fes.
  • The south and the desert: the Atlas, the Dades and two nights in the dunes, from Marrakech to Fes. That’s the 8-day tour, which adds a guided day in each city.
  • The north and the desert: Chefchaouen, Fes and two nights in the dunes, ending in Marrakech. That’s the 9-day tour from Tangier.

How much does a 7-day Morocco tour cost?

We don’t publish a fixed rate, because every private trip is different. The price of a week depends on:

  • How many of you are travelling: the vehicle and the driver are for the whole group.
  • The accommodation you choose.
  • The time of year.
  • Changes to the route: extra nights or day trips, or ending in a different city.

What’s included in a 7-day tour?

The private trip in an air-conditioned 4x4 or van, with an English-speaking driver and pick-up at your accommodation; your nights in hotels or riads and at the desert camp; the camel ride and local guides for the city visits. Flights, lunches and drinks are not included; anything else, we arrange with you on WhatsApp.

Should I start in Fes or in Tangier?

It depends on where you arrive and how many days you have. From Fes, in 7 days, you also see Rabat and Casablanca, with two nights in Marrakech and one in the desert, and you finish back in Fes. From Tangier the tour takes 9 days: more time in the north and in the desert (two nights), a day in Marrakech and an airport transfer.

Is there a 7-day itinerary from Marrakech?

Not exactly. The closest is the 8-day tour from Marrakech to Fes, which starts with your arrival and a guided day in Marrakech. From Casablanca, the shortest is the 8-day tour. If you only have seven days, tell us on WhatsApp where you’re starting and we’ll see how to adjust it.

How many nights do you spend in the desert?

One on the 7-day tour from Fes and on the 8-day tour from Casablanca. Two on the 9-day tour from Tangier and on the 8-day tour from Marrakech to Fes, which spends them at Tassili Luxury Desert Camp, our sister camp in Merzouga, in tents with private bathrooms.
